Norfolk Police Seize Rifle With Handgun And Drugs After Routine Stop

Norfolk police seized  rifles, a handgun and ammunition, along with cannabis and other drugs were seized after police searched the car and the man’s home.

The incredible drama unfolded after a unit from Norfolk police’s Operation Moonshot team stopped a Vauxhall Corsa just off Dereham Road in Norwich at about 11am today, Monday.

The driver tried to escape, but was chased by determined officers from the Operation Moonshot and the Norfolk and Suffolk Road Casualty Reduction Team. He was  evantuallycaught after he climbed into the back garden of a home. Cops seized two large bags of what police suspect to be cannabis were found in the man’s car. Upon searching his home, searched the man’s home address, cops found two rifles and a handgun, along with ammunition for the weapons, were also seized for further investigation. They also found more cannabis and other suspected drugs in the property.

A man, in his 20s, from the Norwich area was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and on suspicion of driving while over the drug limit. He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for interview. Norfolk police celebrated upon their return to the station where this was a talking point for officers who stumbled on the massive finding. An insider from Norfolk police told The Eye Of Media.Com: ”our officers shouted bingo when they found what they found in the man’s property. We had no specific knowledge that this would happen, but these things sometimes happen”.
