The news follows previous warnings from from Met Commissioner that two or three cases of criminal offences committed by police officers will be brought before the court every week.

PC Jorden Brown, attached to the central east command unit, is alleged to have committed the offences between November 2018 and February 2019.

Interestingly, charges have only been brought in 2023, four years after the offences, in what is believed to have been another case of cover up by the Met.

Corrupt cops protecting their corrupt colleagues has been common practise not only in the Metropolitan police, but in many forces across the Uk for many years, with no serious attention taken to address this failing.

The Met Police told The Eye Of Media.Com that it could not release the visual picture of this serving police officer charged with rape, although it is common knowledge that when celebrities are charged with offences, their identities are publicly made known long before the court hearing, let alone conviction.

When footballer, Mason Greenwood was charged with attempted rape, his photo and identity was splashed across every media publication, but the police seem to get special treatment when their officers are charged with even more serious offences.

The offences relate to one victim, who was known to him, and are alleged to have occurred off-duty.

Brown’s offences were reported to police in October 2019 and an investigation was launched, but the Met is yet to explain why it took four years for charges to be brought against this officer.

More of such cases are expected to emerge in the weeks and months ahead, but accountability for those who cover up dangerous police forces is not something that has so far featured much in the press or in the plans for reform presented by police chiefs.

PC Brown has been suspended from duty, and is due to attend court on Wednesday 8 February.

As more cases of criminal offences previously committed by officers with impunity emerge, there will be more calls for broad accountability in relation to why earlier charges were not brought and who were covering the offending officers up.

A culture of corruption in the Met Police has been a serious problem for years, and the seriousness of offences coming to light will put more pressure on police bosses to explain why the force has continued to accommodate dangerous officers in their midst.

Det Supt Dan Rutland, from central east command unit, said: “PC Brown has been suspended and criminal proceedings will now follow. While I recognise the inevitable strength of public feeling, it is important that nothing is said that will put those proceedings at risk.”

This publication will probe the reasons for this type of protection, as the scale of police criminal abuses continue to come to light.
