West Midlands Murder detectives have launched a desperate manhunt for the ex-partner of a woman found murdered in her West Bromwich flat on New Year’s Eve. The sad news has devastated the community who are shocked to hear the dead woman’s partner is the prime suspect.
Officers forced entry to her maisonette in Wyndmill Crescent – on the Charlemont Farm estate – at around 2am on 31 December and found the body of June Jones, aged 33. She had been reported missing by her sister on Boxing Day. In what appears to be another serious case of domestic violence, detectives have launched an appeal for 32 year old Michael Foran. The timing of her death, just before new year’s day suggests her killer did not want her to see the new year.
Reliable sources from the area told The Eye Of Media.Com that the couple were heard having heated arguments from time to time, but would later make up. ”It was assumed to be the typical aspect of every relationship”, one neighbour said. Close members of Jones family are in pieces over the killing, the least that can be done to help their pain is for somebody to reveal the whereabouts of Foran or anybody they believe may be responsible for this mindless and awful killing.
Domestic violence that leads to fatality has become the routine occurrence of modern times in many relationships, one of the reasons we ask for women to be particularly careful and reflective in the relationships they choose and their responses to any signs of violence. Although Foran is yet to be caught and questioned about the killing, he is a very strong suspect for this murder.
A forensic post mortem was conducted yesterday, but it did not reveal the medical cause of death. However, there was evidence of a ‘sustained and brutal assault with a weapon’ and police have confirmed the death is being treated as murder.Officers hunting Michael Foran, say he travelled to Liverpool in the aftermath of her disappearance. They have today released CCTV images of the suspected brute leaving West Bromwich on New Year’s Eve. The next morning, further CCTV images show him at an Esso garage in the Anfield area of the city.
