A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, following a stabbing at Leyton in East London.
Police were called to South Birkbeck Road at around 11.15pm yesterday evening (April 18) to reports of a fight.
At the scene, officers found a man, who is believed to be aged in his 30s, suffering from stab injuries.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS) he died before he could be taken to hospital.
A police spokesperson said that the man’s next of kin have not yet been informed and that a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
London has been the scene of multiple stabbings this year, with 24 homicides in 2024 so far.
There is still a crime scene in place in South Birkbeck Road.
