Key Worker Who Got Social Workers On Daughter Given Temporary Access To Granddaughter

By Gabriel Princewill And Lucy Caulkett-

A key worker who sent social services to her daughter’s residence to check on the well-being of her grandchild, after she was told by her daughter that she will never see her grandchild again has been given access to her grandchild for two months, in the first breakthrough following the intervention of the Eye Of Media.Com.

Francess Koi, 48(pictured) from Nottingham, by all accounts is delighted to have her granddaughter under her charge, after expressing strong concerns about her well-being last year, and being denied access to her by her daughter since January.

The key worker’s daughter, Tyra Pritchard 24, had vowed never to let her mother see her child again, after social workers attended her address in Essex last February. Social services received multiple calls from her mother, expressing concern for the safety of her granddaughter. The visits from social services deeply upset the 24-year-old pretty social media influencer, who branded the complaints spiteful, and a hostile attempt to have the child removed from her care.

‘My mum is definitely never seeing my grandchild anymore. She can see solicitors all she wants, even social services have advised me not to let her see my daughter. She is evil, and I don’t want her anywhere near my child’ she told this publication at the time.

However, following an intervention from this publication, a compromise was eventually made allowing her mother who resides in Nottingham, access to her child for 2 months, whilst she focuses on her professional endeavours.

The strain in relationship between mother and daughter follows a major fall out of epic proportions between mother and daughter, after Koi(pictured) took her grandchild on New Year’s Eve last year from Romford, Essex, where she picked her up, to Nottingham. Koi, who works with vulnerable children in Nottingham, claims the young child was ill shortly after being left in her care, and chose to take her to a hospital near her home to seek medical care.

The mother told this publication that her grandchild looked underweight, slept unduly long, and did not seem well at all.  Her daughter was forced to leave for Nottingham on New Year’s Eve, after receiving a call that her young child was unwell and in hospital.

In panic, 24-year-old Tyra rushed to Nottingham staying there for two days whilst medical checks were conducted on her daughter. Social services and the police got involved, and the social media influencer also got an injunction against her mother, vowing never to let her see her grandchild again. She was livid with her mother.

Her then very friend, Kirsty Peeler, was very supporting during the difficult time, and hugely surprised at the ordeal of her friend, supporting her at every stage, telling this publication that Tyra’s mum had behaved disgracefully.

In her own defence, Tyra’s mother insisted her daughter was a difficult child growing up, who was unappreciative of the support she gave her. ‘Tyra wanted to do her own thing when she was growing up. Yes, I was strict, I wasn’t going to leave her to just live how she liked as a teenager. I looked after her as a mother and took her on trips abroad, paid £25 hour for several lessons of tuition, and did my best for her. She tuned out to be an ungrateful child’.

”I have sent social services to her house to make sure my grandchild is being looked after well. Tyra is very reckless and I am really concerned for that child’s wellbeing, and don’t want to see anything bad happen to her, she told us at the time, expressing concerns about her granddaughter’s health, but Tyra insisted her daughter’s health was fine.

”My mother is lying and is very spiteful. There is nothing wrong with my daughter, she is well looked after and she is just doing everything she can to try and get social services to take her away from me, but it’s not working. They can see there is nothing wrong with her. Social services have told me they have no concerns about my daughter and told me my mum has been calling them every day, Tyra said at the time”.

Ms Koi insisted she meant well for her daughter, and raised her with good principles, having paid tuition for her G.C.S.E’s in school.

Pritchard and her mother have suffered a strained relationship for years, going up and down as time has gone on. The relationship which was being managed relatively well for a year’s period, got worse after Pritchard fell pregnant in 2019, and her mother expressed concerns about how dark the colour of her unborn child will be, reminiscent of the allegation made by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex against an unnamed senior member of the royal family. She claims her question was one of curiosity, because her daughter had been pregnant for a Ghanaian man, and most Ghanaian are very dark.

The story was used as a comparative benchmark for assessing a similar question asked by a senior member of royal family to Prince Harry, as disclosed during the Oprah Winfrey show in March.

Meghan Markle revealed that a member of the royal family had expressed concern to her husband how dark her unborn child would be, something Prince Harry confirmed during the widely watched interview.

Intervention

However, following a three-month intervention by this publication, the young beauty agreed to let her mother have the child for a few months, freeing her hands to focus more on professional engagements, and   Tyra is popular on snap shat with 5,000 followers, and well connected to multiple well-known artists, courtesy of her flamboyance and broad social network. She agreed to a compromise, after efforts by social services for contact plans failed.

The family feud split the family, as different factions of the family sought to establish the truth about how relations deteriorated so badly to lead to social workers involvement, and press coverage on this publication.

Unifying the family was the ultimate aim of our intervention. It has worked miracles so far.

Our revelation led to Tyra’s grandmother threatening this publication with solicitors and referring to us as ”dividers and destroyers of families”. In actual fact, we simply revealed the facts, with her granddaughter’s permission, and have in the end been a positive source of unity in the family.

Ms Koi, who owns her own property in Nottingham is reportedly happy to have her grandchild with her.

She declined to comment about this article.
