One of Michael Jackson’s friend’s Mark Lester has told the Lorraine television show that he found the documentary revealing allegations of child sex abuse by Michael Jackson boring and without purpose
Mark Lester, who is the godfather to MJ’s children, condemned the documentary due to be aired in the Uk today . Mark told Lorraine that he didn’t understand what the new two-part documentary was trying to achieve. He said he felt “sad” that “this has even come to light” and revealed he is struggling to “fathom what [the documentary] is trying to achieve”.
‘First of all I thought it was over long, it seemed to repeat itself quite a lot. It was quite boring in many laces, it made me feel sick. ‘This is not the Michael Jackson I knew for over 30 years, this is not the man my children knew, this is not the guy that I knew they were talking about,’ he told Utv’s Lorraine television show.
I don’t really know what the object of the exercise is here. ‘It’s a very sad and sensitive subject and child abuse is awful. ‘I can’t fathom what good or what this is trying to achieve.’ ‘I never saw or was party to or even had the slightest notion that there was anything untoward with Michael. ‘My children were for maybe seven or eight years with Michael’s children, playing together. I was godfather to his children, he was godfather to my children.’
In response to a question about whether he was ever suspicious of Jackson’s behaviour around the children he used to invite to his ranch, he said: “Absolutely not. I never saw or was party or even had the slightest notion that there was anything untoward with Michael Jackson. My children were for maybe seven or eight years with Michael’s children, playing together. I was godfather to his children, he was godfather to my children.’
Lester lambasted the Arvizo’s family as “hooligans” and accused them of taking advantage of Jackson. And in comments discrediting the quality of the film, he said: “I thought it was overlong. “It seems to repeat itself quite a lot and is quite boring in many places. It made me feel quite sick. This is not the Michael Jackson that I knew for over 30 years. This is not the man that my children knew.”
