A Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) officer who was caught exposing himself on Hampstead Heath has been dismissed following a misconduct hearing.
Detective Constable Dariusz Alexander was found to have breached the standards of professional behaviour in relation to discreditable conduct.
He was previously found guilty of outraging public decency following a trial at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on June 22.
An allegation of breaching the standards of professional behaviour in relation to authority, respect and courtesy was not proven.
Det Con Alexander, who was attached to the Roads and Transport Policing Command (RTPC), was caught exposing himself on March 18 by two MPS officers who were carrying out inquiries into an incident that had occurred on Hampstead Heath several days earlier.
He was arrested and charged and later suspended from duty.
The MPS said the allegations were found proven and were “so serious as to justify dismissal”.
Detective Superintendent Christina Jessah, in charge of RTPC, said: “Everyone in this organisation knows the high standards expected of them and it is right that those who fall short are held to account.”
