A mystery man suspected of committing two separate rapes in London, four years apart is still at large.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the man has targeted women mainly in the mornings, expressing may have carried out additional attacks.
The Metropolitan Police today confirmed to The Eye Of Media.Com that the suspect remains at large despite the appeals put out in the past.
Detectives say the man preys on lone women in the early hours of the morning, with the first attack taking place in May 2018 near The Strand, Westminster, and the second in December 2022 in Curtain Road, Shoreditch.
The first incident occurred shortly before 3 am on May 5, 2018, near The Strand in Westminster. An E-fit of the suspect was released by the Metropolitan Police following this attack.
The second assault took place in the early hours of December 10, 2022, on Curtain Road in Shoreditch, where a CCTV image of the alleged perpetrator was made public.
Initially treated as distinct cases, forensic analysis by detectives has revealed that the same unidentified individual is responsible for both assaults.
Detective Inspector Chris Heathcote of Scotland Yard stated: “Given the four-year gap, we must assume that it’s highly likely the suspect has carried out further attacks.
A review of all unsolved rapes for this time period has identified no links to these two offences, but I would appeal to anyone who feels they have been a victim to come forward.”
. The Metropolitan Police are urging individuals who may have information about the suspect to come forward to aid in their investigation.
Expressing concern over the outstanding nature of the suspect, Heathcote reassured the public, stating, “I understand there will be concern that this individual remains outstanding, but can offer every assurance that we are taking all possible steps to ensure he is found and brought to justice for these awful crimes.”
Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and report any relevant information to the authorities promptly
