MEMORABLE MAYWEATHER FIGHT TICKETS RUNNING HIGH
BY PETER D. BERTIN
As tickets go on sale for the long awaited showdown between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, the largest grossing fight in history is at our doors. The hype has began to build up, and next Saturday, 2nd May at MGM Grand Garden Arena, the atmosphere is going to be electric. The 16,800 people capacity is sure to fill up to the rafters. Tickets will range from $1500 to $10,000 for the seats, though there are talks of some tickets going for up to the equivalence of £94,000. With the $10,000 tickets not available for the public. nevertheless they are sure to be sold out quickly. The fight is expected to gross in the region of £400m
It was thought by many that this fight would never come to fruition, given the disputes and dramas surrounding the fight, and the venue of the fight. Most felt it may never materialize. But with both boxers happy with the purse and the involvement of the CBS Corporation, the dream fight has finally come through. Anyone and everyone who has a connection to boxing has waited too long for this fight. At some stage between late Saturday and Sunday morning, we will finally know who will be crowned the king, and go down in history.
Many are rooting for Pacquiao to shut up the very bragadocious Mayweather, though all honest people must admit that Mayweather is simply the best so far, and probably earned the right to be a bit of bragger. He talks a lot, but always backs his talk. Rumors have circulated that Mayweather is getting caught with unnecessary punches in sparring, but this is likely to be either nothing but rumors or Mayweather practicing how he reacts to any punches that go through. Pacquiao is fast and aggressive with real power, but Mayweather has the best defensive skills of all time, which he combines with excellent skills. He can look after himself and would not want to ruin his legacy.
This will be a very hard and exciting fight, we are certainly in for a night to remember, and eye of media will give you a quality assessment in the build up to this memorable fight.
