Meghan Markle’s legal papers says she had ‘become the subject of a large number of false and damaging articles’ in UK newspapers, which caused ‘tremendous emotional distress and damage to her mental health’, especially while she was pregnant.
The revelation comes amid the filing of official paper work by Ms Markle and her husband, Harry, with Companies House to dissolve the royal foundation as they change direction to focus on the Prince’s eco-tourism scheme ‘Travalyst’.
The documents also say she was ‘unprotected by the institution and prohibited from defending herself’ against articles bout her in the British press.
Addressing her vulnerability at the time a private letter to her father Thomas Markle Snr was published by The Daily Mail, Meghan’s legal team said: “The Claimant had become the subject of a large number of false and damaging articles by the UK tabloid media, specifically by the Defendant, which caused tremendous emotional distress and damage to her mental health.

The Times claim to have been told by a source that this referred to the team of press officers and wider office staff at the Palace.

According to The Times, Kensington Palace press team had difficulty in denying the stories, because they were true. The Eye Of Media.Com once found an untrue story about the couple in The Daily Express which was exposed and the authour reprimanded,

Their charity’s main project during its 12-month run was Travalyst- a travel initiative that aimed to explore and improve conservation efforts, tackle climate change and help local communities.
The couple have been a source of controversy ever since their marriage and the original integration of the American actress with the royal family before they severed ties with the Monarchy.
A book about the couple and their experiences in Kensington Temple is in the works.
