A royal commentator has warned Meghan Markle of the royal family’s ruthlessness which potentially faces her, pointing to the unveiling of the Princess Diana statue yesterday at Kensington Palace which brought to light the consequences of those who get “on the wrong side” of the Firm.
In a strategically outlined observation of missing elements, the royal commentator gave Meghan Markle a glimpse of what to expect in any potential future scenario, as she noted no other member of the Royal Family but Harry and William were in attendance yesterday. The upshot of Elser’s observation was that the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue did not have the warm acknowledgement of the rest of the family because of the manner in which Princess Diana let the firm down by giving the shocking and globally watched panorama interview.
Daniela Elser said Princess Diana’s 60th birthday was not marked by any official social media account of the royals apart from the one of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – but the Royal Family’s account retweeted the post shared by Kensington Palace.
The Court Circular, which notes every official engagement carried out by working royals, also did not register the unveiling of the statue.
More poignantly, the statue of Princess Diana was missing “a single indication of her royal status”, Ms Elser said.
Writing on News.com.au: “Sometimes what is most important, in both art and life, is not what is there, splashed around for everyone to see, but what is missing.
“Case in point, the unveiling of the highly anticipated and much-ballyhooed sculpture of Diana, Princess of Wales in the grounds of Kensington Palace.
“What is missing from the Ian Rank-Broadley piece is her iconic diamond and sapphire engagement ring.
“What is missing is a single indication of her royal status.
“And most crucially and telling what was missing from the event: Any member of the Royal Family, aside from Princes William and Harry, in attendance at the brief ceremony and any money from the royal coffers having gone into the project.”
In an clear warning to Meghan, Ms Elser added: “If there was one essential, sad truth that the ceremony underscored it was that the consequences of getting on the wrong side of the house of Windsor can be brutal and enduring.
Yesterday, Penny Junor, who has written biographies of Diana, Charles, William and Harry, told news outlet i that Prince Harry would need to make peace with the royal family before Meghan Markle and her children can see the statue of the late Princess Diana.
Junor said Harry would want Meghan, Archie and Lilibet to see the Queen soon and visit the memorial but added “there’s got to be another olive branch before any of that is likely to happen.”
Junor added: ”they have said some very hurtful things about members of the family and some damaging things about the monarchy and I think there’s a lot of hurt there. I think it will depend largely if there is any kind of meaningful conversation between the brothers, during the course of Harry’s stay.
“If they can start to sort things out then possibly we could see Meghan and Harry back over here to see the Queen and spend time at Balmoral possibly in the summer. But I think there’s a lot of work to be done before.”
Ms Junor said she thinks the public are divided over Meghan and Harry’s decision to speak out to Oprah.
“Some people are very much on their side and think they were quite right to speak out and that was their truth and so on, but I think a lot of people in this country don’t think it was the right thing to do,” she said.
Like most commentators who have offered expert opinion about the royal feud in the press, she offered no analysis as to the facts of the raging dispute which has engulfed the royal family and split supporters of both parties into two camps.
Other Missing Elements
Junors warning , also published in the Daily Express will resonate with many readers, as the missing elements she points out in relation to the statue of Princess Diana are true. One thing also missing from the royal expert’s comments are the entire facts associated with Princess Diana’s public attack on the royal family which we now to have also been influenced by the corrupt faking of bank statements by Martin Bashir., and the fact the late princess was deeply hurt at her husband’s infidelity.
If the reaction of members of the royal family fail to consider important truths and realities, then her presentation of the firm as ruthless is not positive, and her contribution to the discussion leaves out the issue of fairness.
Penny Junor today added: My guess is there’s quite a way to go but it’s encouraging to see the two of them together and with smiles on their faces, I think that is progress.
“The brothers put on a very, very good show. I was expecting to see some sort of tight lips and some jaw muscles, which we saw at the Commonwealth service in Westminster Abbey before Harry and Meghan left.
“They seemed to be reasonably relaxed with one another.”
