MASON NOISE SURPRISINGLY SURVIVES X FACTOR EVICTION

BY JAMES SIMONS

Mason Noise survived last night’s X factor’s eviction after being saved by two of the judges following a sing off between him and Seann Miley Moore. Noise, who only a few weeks back had been defiant by refusing to apologise after complaining about not getting a long enough slot for his performance, seemed the weaker of the two and was unsurprisingly rejected by both Simon Cowell and Rita Ora, but went on to survive the public’s vote after Nick Grimshaw gave him an undeserved lifeline by leaving it to the public to decide instead of doing his job and giving a dispassionate opinion on who should stay on.

Noise was once exposed for expressing derogatory comments on twitter against Cheryl Fernandez Versini a year before he actually appeared on the show. In one tweet he described X factor judges as well as those on The Voice as being like ”Stevie Wonder judging a painting contest”. In another he called the show ”pointless entertainment”.

Max Stone, Monica Michael and Anton Stephans did not perform as well as Moore did, but all managed to stay in the show. Caked in make up, like a woman, Sean always had an interesting flavour to his performances and undoubtedly seemed the stronger performer to stay on the show. Noise, who rudely dropped his mike on the stage when asked to leave the stage by Simon Cowell during his tasteless show of arrogance a few weeks ago, should never have been let back on the show. He was lucky to be given another chance, but his luck really should have run out last night, except that it did not. The show whose ratings have gone up this year is not really living up to top standards of judging even though it is doing brilliantly for entertainment. We hope to see an improvement in coming weeks.
