Managers Must Have Credentials To Be Bosses

By Lucy Caulkett-

Employers must receive legitimate credentials from employees to hire managers, common sense suggests.

Too many managers in the UK are made managers because of contacts rather than merit. The Eye Of Media.Com is questioning the credentials required for managerial positions in many industries and insisting on legitimacy for managerial roles.

A list of managerial positions is being considered as we prepare a motion to be presented to Parliament to evaluate. Managerial positions on our list includes pub managers, club managers, sales managers, casino managers, security managers, and many others.

High quality training and some academic qualifications should be possessed by anybody appointed as a manager, rather than the conventional practice of mere experience, which in many cases do not require any real credentials.

All managers should in principle have studied a managerial course of some sort, and should also be able to demonstrate the ability to manage people and situations competently and independently. Today, we have managers with no qualifications whatsoever, yet they think they are bosses.

This article does not aim to suggest that people without academic qualifications cannot excel in life, because they can. However, a manager with no qualifications should have to study a course, even if it is just a brief three month course at the very least.

Many managers will claim to have undergone some training, but the caliber of those providing the training is important too. A managerial position is an important one, a manager must prove they have been able to manage themselves in terms of their own basic development.

Managing people requires restraint, leadership skills, discipline, and good judgment. The Eye of Media.Com has discovered that there are individuals without any school leaving qualifications, who are mangers in the day, and drug dealers at night. It is disgraceful, to be frank.

Businesses without individual who have the proper credentials and qualifications should recruit one from outside who has those qualifications. It is the professional thing to do instead of selecting one who has been with the organisation and promoting them due to their popularity or length of time they have been there.

Only individuals with proper qualifications for that position have a right to be regarded as one. Most reputable professions live by this basic rule, the rest who do not are not genuine professionals who deserve respect.

The proposal by The Eye Of Media.Com is to be presented to Parliament alongside a few others in the new year.
