The uncle of lotto winner Michael Carroll, Steve Muncaster, was caught on CCTV cameras shooting his wife in Stow Road in the early hours of July 12 2016.
An inquest heard that CCTV cameras covered the lounge showing Mrs Muncaster on the sofa, and the neighbouring room from where Mr Muncaster fired the shot.
On July 11, 2016, Mr Muncaster was looking very upset with his head in his hands. Minutes later, Mrs Muncaster was also seen “clearly upset” with her head in her hands, the Inquest heard.
The footage shows the lotto lout’s uncle, Stephen Muncaster collecting the shotgun concealed under the bed earlier that evening,” before shooting her at 12.05, just after midnight when Allison was sitting on the sofa in the second lounge,” said Mr when Stephen produced the gun from behind his back.
Allison tried to run when she realised the fate awaiting her, but as she got off the sofa gets off the sofa she’s fatally killed by when Muncaster let his hands go.
Mr Muncaster, a builder, held a valid shotgun and firearms licence nd had received £1 from Michael Carroll, who won £9.7m on the national lottery in 2002. The £1m was jointly shared with his ex-wife, Kelly Muncaster.
A post-mortem examination concluded Mrs Muncaster died of a shotgun wound to the head. Exactly what triggered the killing is not clear, but the eye of media.com has heard that its root cause is in relation to his former marriage with Kelly Muncaster and his handling of his share of his nephew’s winning huge winnings.
Michael Carroll, now 33, blew his £9.7m winnings after giving away £5m of it and blowing the rest on cocaine and prostitutes. He announced a shift to healthy living in 2013 that included dieting and weight training. Today, he slaughters animals for a living in Scotland.
Ms Lake adjourned the inquest into the death of Mr Muncaster to April 7, 2017 for further review.
