The London School Of Economics (LSE) has announce the appointment of Larry Kramer as its new President and Vice Chancellor.
Larry Kramer(pictured) will formally begin his role as LSE’s eighteenth President and Vice Chancellor in April 2024.

Kramer is currently President of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Larry Kramer is a renowned scholar of constitutional law and history.

He has served as president of the California grant maker, which is one of the 10 wealthiest foundations in the United States, for 11 years.

He was previously Richard E. Lang Professor of Law and Dean of Stanford Law School 2004-2012, and Associate Dean for Research and Academics and Russell D Niles Professor at New York University Law School 1994-2004.
He was a Professor at the University of Chicago Law School and University of Michigan Law School, as well as Visiting Professor at Columbia Law School and Harvard Law School.
A fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a member of the American Philosophical Society.
He is also the author of numerous articles and books, including The People Themselves: Popular Constitutionalism and Judicial Review. Larry also serves as board chair of iCivics, a non-profit organisation that promotes civic education, and as a director on the boards of various other non-profit organisations, including the Silicon Valley Community Foundation and the ClimateWorks Foundation.
