A crazed knife man slashed a passenger right across the neck 6.50 pm on October 10th, in an unprovoked attack. The blade missed the victim’ s carotid artery and was taken to hospital where he is making a stable recovery.
A major investigation has been launched following the vicious attack. The unnamed man was traveling on the Ashton bound train when he was caught up in an argument around 6. 50 pm on Saturday morning.
The attacker who was with a woman on the team at the time was of stocky build, black,, and within the age range of 35-45, with a shaven head.
With him was a white woman with long dark in a ponytail. She wore a shirt black skirt, a black top and black wedge heels.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester police told the eye of media.com:
” We know there were a number of people on board the tram and we need them to come forward and tell them what they saw. It is a rare occurrence on these trains, and sometimes people don’t think they are needed or they lack clarity about what they saw. We are working with very experienced officers who are looking into it”
CCTV FOOTAGE
Police confirmed that CCTV evidence has not yet been obtained, but was assuring in their view that good CCTV footage will eventually reveal the identity of the maniac who acted so callously in full view of members of the public. ”The CCTV will be very good, but how well it will identify him is not certain. However, dedicated officers are working hard on this case, and we are confident we will find him and get him behind bars.
Police said the victim was still revealing to police how the incident occurred but would not want to give out too much information in order not to jeopardies the investigation. Our contacts in Manchester tipped us on the story because of the graphic nature of the attack.”It gives me goose bumps to think people with this kind of deadly tendency use the same public transport as members of the public, and can strike anytime. Anybody who could act like this in a public place with witnesses must have mental issues. There are many people with mental health problems that walks our streets when they should be in a mental home.The fact they carry a knife. The woman with him may actually be living in fear of him, many women find themselves stuck in relationships they don’t want to be in, and are often too scared to inform the police.
The fact the man carries a knife with them is more frightening. I have told my teenage boys and my one daughter not to use that train until this man is caught”.This man desperately needs to be caught, he could strike again”
