A key worker has sent social services to her daughter’s residence to check on the well being of her grandchild, after she was told by her that she will never see her grandchild again.
The daughter of Frances Koi, Tyra Pritchard, 24, confirmed that social workers attended her address in Essex last week, after receiving multiple calls from her mother, expressing concern for the safety of her granddaughter. The visits from social services have deeply upset the 24 year old, who has branded the complaints to be spiteful , and a hostile attempt to have the child removed from her care.
‘my mum is definitely never seeing my grandchild anymore. She can see solicitors all she wants, even social services have advised me not to let her see my daughter. She is evil, and I don’t want her anywhere near my child”.
It follows a major fall out of epic proportions between mother and daughter, after Koi(pictured) took her grandchild on new year’s eve from Romford, Essex, where she picked her up, to Nottingham where she resides. Koi, who works with vulnerable children in Nottingham, claims the young child was ill shortly after being left in her care, and chose to take her to a hospital near her home to seek medical care.
The mother told this publication that her grandchild looked underweight, slept unduly long, and did not seem well at all. Her daughter was forced to leave for Nottingham on new year’s eve, after receiving a call that her young child was unwell and in hospital. On arriving there, Tyra felt there was no reason for concern whatsoever, but stayed for two days whilst checks were conducted on her.
However, her mother insists Tyra was a difficult child growing up who was unappreciative of the support she gave her. ‘Tyra wanted to do her own thing when she was growing up. Yes, I was strict, I wasn’t going to leave her to just live how she liked as a teenager. I looked after her as a mother and took her on trips abroad, did my best for her, but she tuned out to be an ungrateful child’.
”I have sent social services to her house to make sure my grandchild is being looked after well. Tyra is very reckless and I am really concerned for that child’s well being, and don’t want to see anything bad happen to her.
Her daughter, Tyra, hit back at her mother’s claims.
”My mother is lying and is very spiteful. There is nothing wrong with my daughter, she is well looked after and she is just doing everything she can to try and get social services to take her away from me, but it’s not working. They can see there is nothing wrong with her. Social services have told me they have no concerns about my daughter and told me my mum has been calling them everyday
My mother is evil, she used to physically assault me and even grab knives to threaten me at a young age. Her ex husband used to shout and tell her to stop otherwise she would kill me. I don’t know what kind of mum I have”.
Pritchard and her mother have suffered a strained relationship for years, going up and down as time has gone on. The relationship which was being managed relatively well for a year’s period, got worse after the Pritchard fell pregnant in 2019, and her mother expressed concern about how dark the colour of her unborn child will be. She claims her question was one of curiosity , because her daughter had been pregnant for a Ghanaian man, and most Ghanaian are very dark.
The story is being used as a comparative benchmark for assessing a similar question asked by a senior member of royal family to Prince Harry, as disclosed during the Oprah Winfrey show in March.
Meghan Markle revealed that a member of the royal family had expressed concern to her husband how dark her unborn child would be, something Prince Harry confirmed during the widely watched interview.
Some analysts believe that the expression of a similar question in ethnic communities removes any legitimate suggestion of racism, making it more an issue and question of speculation in terms of appearance.
Tyra, who is very angry with her mother, says her mother who is black, despises black men and had hoped her child had come out very dark, bleak in her own words, so she could ridicule her.
Responding to her experience being used as an example for evaluating whether there is any legitimate basis for alleging racism in the case of the royal family, she says : ”there is a valid point there, because you can’t have one rule for one, but another rule for another”.
She adds, my mother hates black men anyway. When I asked her why she called my baby father without my permission, she said you think I want your baby dad. I don’t want him, I don’t do black men. I feel unlucky to have a mum like this. I don’t her to be referred to as my mum anymore”, she said.
