Tyson Fury’s fuming father, John Fury, has called for ‘hater’ David Haye to be banned from commentating on next week’s world heavyweight title fight between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte, after the former heavyweight world champion predicted his son would lose the world title defence.
Accusing Haye as being a hater and jealous of his son’s position, John made it abundantly clear he wants David Haye banned from commenting about his son, as he proceeded to tell the world that he has already spoken to Frank Warren and BT about the serious concerns he has about what he perceives to be Haye’s ulterior motives for pronouncing negative predictions about his son’s fights.
Haye, a pundit for BT Sport, predicted a shock win for Whyte in the contest at Wembley Stadium on April 23, stating that the South Londoner has all the attributes to pull of the win against the unbeaten Gypsy King. The prediction riled John Fury, who has been an ardent supporter of his son throughout his amateur and professional career.
Hate said: ‘But, you know, the type of opponent that you’d need to beat Tyson Fury – Dillian Whyte has all of those attributes.
‘He can punch hard, he’s got cardio for days he’s got the desire and belief in himself.
‘I think Whyte is going to pull off the upset. I think this is his opportunity. I think this is what he’s been waiting for.
‘This happened at the right time for him and I think the fact that Tyson Fury’s so highly regarded by everybody works in Dillian’s favour.
‘So I’m going with the unpopular underdog.’

Steaming with anger, Tyson’s father described Haye as the ‘worst pundit in the world’, adding that he would ‘back Santa Claus’ to beat his son.

Haye had predicted Anthony Joshua would emerge victorious ahead of the aborted lucrative unified fight of 2021, which fell through after Deontey Wilder won the legal right to have a rematch against Tyson Fury. He later predicted a victory for Wilder against Fury in their trilogy which took place last October.
The Londoner’s prediction nearly materialized in the Wilder fight, after the American knocked Fury down twice, but Fury’s phenomenal resilience saw him pull trough an absorbing contest packed with action.
John Fury believes David Haye’s predictions of doom are borne out of jealousy.
‘David Haye needs to take a back seat in the stands where nobody can see him,’ John Fury told talkSPORT.
‘I’ve already made it quite clear to Frank Warren – he is not allowed to be commentating on my son’s fight, otherwise there will be a problem.
‘That’s black and white, the nation can hear me. He’s a hater, I don’t want him near my family, that’s the bottom line.
‘They know me, BT, and I will not be silent if he’s there.’
‘He’s a hater, always has been and he’s jealous of Tyson because he’d love to be the man Tyson is and he can’t, and jealousy consumes him.
‘It’s been proven and I don’t want him near the show.’
“Everybody that Tyson’s fought it’s, ‘Oh, they’re gonna beat Tyson, they’re gonna beat Tyson.’
“How many times can he be wrong?
“It’s a no-flight zone to the Fury job for him, I told Frank last night that’s what I want.”
John Fury who gets very emotional in defence of his son, equally expressed intense anger against Deontey Wilder before their trilogy, after the American accused his son of cheating. He descrined the former Wbc champion at the time of being a ”horrible man’.
It is unknown whether Fury’s angry rant about David Haye will impact the decision of BT bosses to have Haye as a pundit, given any pre arrangements they already have with him.
More interesting will be Haye’s reaction to John Fury’s rant, and his assessment of the fight at the end of the night.
