Both Richard Hammond and James May have spent months filming the new show aimed at replacing the original top gear show which had millions glued to their screens for years.
Even more interesting is the fact that BBC bosses working on a reboot of their original show Top Gear show presented by Chris Evans and Matt Leblanc, is in talks with Netflix to bag a streaming deal.
An interesting rivalry is likely to develop between the two shows, with Clarkson’s new motor show set to feature on Amazon prime- its new date still unknown. Clarkson has a strong appeal with British viewers, but has in past times been lambasted by his detractors for his proclivity to make racist comments,and his reckless tendency to be violent without reasonable cause.His many fans carelessly overlook this weakness, by failing to voice out the many valid criticisms about his character defects necessary to make him a better person.
If Clarkson can improve his character and mature to a level compatible with his age, he could become a genuine icon in British society, because at the moment he is just another celebrity, not a real icon. He will have another chance to make an even greater impact with Amazon than he did on television. The BBC will surely look to provide stern opposition with their own reboot of their original Top gear show.
