The international manhunt for a Pakastani family continues after a 10 year old girl was found dead
Police launched an international manhunt following the discovery of Sara’s body, as they search for Sara’s father, his partner Beinash Batool, 29, and his brother, Faisal Malik, 28.
Sara Sharif’s body was found at a property in Hammond Road, Woking, after police were called from Pakistan by her father, Urfan Sharif, on August 10.
The trio, along with their five other children mysteriously left the UK for Islamabad with one-way tickets, the day before Sara’s body was found alone at the family’s semi-detached home.
The unsettling circumstances surrounding her demise remain shrouded in uncertainty, leaving investigators and locals alike grappling for answers.
Sara’s life was tragically cut short at her Hammond Road home, a seemingly safe haven that transformed into a haunting scene of a young life extinguished too soon. The alarm was raised by none other than her father, Urfan Sharif, who made a harrowing international call from Pakistan to report the heartbreaking discovery on August 10.
Yet, the web of intrigue has grown even more tangled. Swiftly after the grim find, a global manhunt was initiated, spanning continents and igniting speculation. Urfan Sharif, along with his partner Beinash Batool, 29, and brother Faisal Malik, 28, left their lives behind, departing for Islamabad with one-way tickets just a day prior to Sara’s lifeless form being uncovered within the family’s semi-detached abode.
The backdrop of a somber history compounds the speculation. The specter of “honor killings,” a grim reality among certain segments of the Pakistani community, has cast its shadow over the unfolding investigation. Whispers and suspicions swirl, suggesting the family’s involvement in Sara’s untimely demise could be rooted in these grim traditions.
Although the cause of Sara’s tragic passing remains a puzzle, the early indications are that it’s far from a natural occurrence. The inquest’s curtains were raised at Surrey Coroner’s Court, unveiling a disturbing lack of clarity on the matter. The inquest only serves to underscore the gravity of the situation, as Coroner Simon Wickens emphasized that the precise cause of death, though undetermined, likely strays into the realm of the “unnatural.”
Sara’s story, one of a life brief yet marred by darkness, was solemnly shared by Mr. Wickens. Born in Slough, Berkshire, on January 11, 2013, her tale was abruptly severed, leaving a community and a nation grappling with a profound sense of loss.
With heavy hearts, the proceedings have been suspended until February 29, 2024, a delay necessitated by the urgent investigative efforts of Surrey Police. This respite, however, does not dull the pain. In a poignant gesture, Mr. Wickens offered his deepest sympathies to those forever touched by the flicker of Sara’s existence.
The sinister nature of her demise was further underscored by a post-mortem examination that unveiled a chilling reality. Sara had suffered “multiple and extensive injuries,” a brutal fate that likely unfolded over an extended period. This revelation adds a layer of grim complexity to the already troubling circumstances surrounding her death.
Sara’s grandfather, Muhammad Sharif, beseeched his own son to extend his cooperation to the police. . The elder Sharif has called upon Urfan and his companions to emerge from the shadows, underscoring the need to bring closure to a situation that has subjected the family to repeated police intrusions.
The investigation has spanned continents, with Pakistani authorities diligently tracking the trio through their digital footprint. Nasir Bajwa, the steadfast lead in the case, voiced the determination of the forces at play. “With God’s will we will make the arrest by tomorrow night,” he declared, a stark testament to the gravity of the search.
Syed Khurram Ali, the stalwart police chief of the Rawalpindi region, echoed the sentiment, offering a glimmer of hope. The quest to find Urfan Sharif, Beinash Batool, and Faisal Malik, it seems, inches closer to a resolution.
The storm of speculation has not abated, as family members grapple with explaining the unexplainable. Imran Sharif, the brother of Urfan, relayed a startling version of events to the authorities. He claimed that Sara’s life was extinguished in a tragic fall down the stairs, a heart-wrenching accident that left her lifeless. The portrait painted is one of sudden, catastrophic misfortune.
Amidst this labyrinth of sorrow, institutions have started to review their own roles. Surrey County Council confirmed their familiarity with Sara and the unsettling circumstance. A “thorough review process” has been launched, reflecting the somber weight of her passing on the shoulders of an entire community.
Sara’s absence has left a palpable void at St. Mary’s C of E Primary School in Byfleet, where she had been an eager Year 5 student. Jacquie Chambers, the school’s headteacher, conveyed the collective sentiment that Sara’s absence will be acutely felt. The impact of her absence will be most keenly understood within the halls where her laughter and curiosity once echoed.
Tragic : Sara Sharif’
Detective Superintendent Mark Chapman of the Surrey and Sussex Police major crime team made an impassioned plea for information. With the passage of two weeks since Sara’s body was discovered, the quest for truth is far from over. The reverberations of her tragic fate continue to reverberate through the community and beyond, leaving an indelible mark on hearts and minds.
Chapman implored those who may hold fragments of insight to come forward, stressing the importance of even the seemingly insignificant details. In a quest for justice, every iota of information could be the missing piece that paints a clearer picture of the chilling circumstances surrounding Sara Sharif’s untimely departure.
