Inspirational quotes and motivational sayings are being used to stimulate primary school pupils taking private tuition in some good schools in Britain.
Children as between the ages of 7 and 9 are regularly using inspirational quotes as a warm up exercise before reading broad texts from books in developing their thirst for knowledge and the building of their academic future.
The quotes are used to instil motivation in children, and substantially improve the way they think about themselves, moulding their beliefs and expectations about life, and inspiring them to love learning.
Private schools generally offer higher academic standards, better facilities and a greater range of extra curricular activities. With the expensive fees for private education, many would wonder why parents who provide private education for their children would also hire private tuition.
A spokesperson for best school guides told The Eye Of Media.Com on Thursday: ”Some parents want extra tuition for their children on top of the high education they may receive in their various private schools because they are very ambitious.
‘Besides not all private schools are as academic as other private schools. Academic standards vary, and some private schools are expensive particularly because of the quality of the facilities they have there, some have sophisticated state of the arts, high extra curricula activities and so forth.
However, there are some state schools and grammar schools that are as good if not better than some private schools. It all depends on the particular school in question. The main difference with private schools is the smaller sizes which allow teachers to focus more the individual development of pupils”
Inspiring quotes are not used by many schools to motivate children because not many headteachers are aware of them.
However, they are considered a useful tool of motivating children and broadening their minds at an early age. They also instil good values and philosophies in young children, which can be a positive building block for their future.
The several inspirational quotes form a fundamental basis of developing motivation for children who are being primed to develop a love for reading, with the aim of establishing strong philosophical principles for consistent reading and learning. They are believed to enhance a child’s outlook on life
Many children who attend good quality private schools often have parents who supplement their children’s highly paid tuition with quality bespoke tuition to bring the best out of them They are taught to believe that anything is possible in life.
Inspiring Mechanisms
Independent schools use a broad range of mechanisms to inspire pupils, every approach that works is used. These are tried and tested methods that work and a lot of the schools that have the time to do it , the spokesperson said.
”Inspirational Quotes cover wider aspects of Life, including for For Students, Motivational Quotes For Work, Success Quotes, or Leadership Quotes.
”The process involves parents or tutors reading inspirational quotes to primary school children, ensuring an acquaintance with new words, through practise and testing.
An aspect of the material used includes the requirement for ”keeping a few uplifting excerpts or positive proclamations”. It adds that : ”if you ever notice your energy or your spirit begin to drop, simply recite an inspirational and uplifting quote to quickly boost your mood”
The children are told what it means to recite, and what an inspirational quote means. They are also made to spell the words out, then are tested on them.
One of the quotes reads : “The Pessimist Sees Difficulty In Every Opportunity. The Optimist Sees Opportunity In Every Difficulty.” – Winston Churchill
Pupils are then taught what an optimist is, and what a pessimist is, building their vocabulary in the process.
One quote says ”its not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up”
Another says: ”If you are working on something you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you”, By Steve Jobs.
Another one of the quotes is: ”All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney “ . Another is ”The secret of getting ahead is getting started.” – Mark Twain
All children and even adults need inspiration to maximise their innate talents, understanding the power and importance of having a vision, and being automatically motivated by the vision at hand.
Researchers are united about the importance of inspiring children from a young age to be motivated, and embrace a world of many possibilities, by understanding the importance of inspiration.
High quality schools encourage pupils to read widely, motivating them through quality reading of educational literature in class, and influence them to make the most of library time where they carefully develop the vocabulary of pupils and test them in an exciting atmosphere.
Highly paid teachers are often committed to bringing the best out of their pupils by setting ambitious targets aimed at broadening their mind.
Sharp Elbowed Parents
The best school guide’s spokesperson said: ”Often parents have fought tooth and nail to get their children into these schools, if the child is not getting what they want, they make it known. They are sharp elbowed parents. Some parents are laid back because they are confident their child is a hard worker.
”A lot of the parents have gone a long way to get their children there and they want to make sure they get their money’s worth. You will find that the majority of kids are the children of small business owners who work really hard to get their children”
”The cheaper junior schools start at £10,000, the more expensive boarding schools there are means tested bursaries. The bursaries could be 10% or 110% and hire investigating auditors to ensure they are helping the right people.
”Outside organisations like the Royal Springboard Foundation help children from less well-off backgrounds. They would not give one of the places to someone who could not hold their own. There are also art, music and sports scholarship.
‘When parents are paying well for their children’s education, what you find is that there is a stronger collaborative effort between teacher, student and parent . Everybody pays twice as much attention. Private schools are able to have an environment that is more conducive to learning.
A lot of teachers in the Uk are committed, but in private schools, there is a much smaller class of a maximum of ten students, so teachers can pay closer attention to the students. Also, schools in the private sector sometimes have expensive state of the arts, sporting facilities, and other extracurricular activities.
They are academically selective schools. The London Academy Of Excellence in Stratford, Newham College Sixth Form a selective state school, Harris Westminster was set up with the support of nearby private schools
They were set up with the help of private schools. London Academy Of Excellence has six partner schools, that include Eton College.
Music
Music is also used as a powerful motivator alongside motivational quotes. Each morning when you wake up, playlists with motivational songs on Spotify can be stimulating in getting a child’s mind in the right mindset.
Researcher and former teacher, Joshua Hoopwood says ”being tested on inspirational quotes stimulates the mind of children who are particularly committed to learning in a stimulating environment. They develop confidence based on an appreciation of the training they are undergoing”.
”They become motivated by the regular experience on reciting quotes and being examined on some of the words used.
Children who receive this kind of broad motivational tuition are still taught on other subjects, and naturally develop faster than other children their age. Children are the product of their environments. Most children from lax homes are forever playful, putting in minimal work for their future.
There are teachers who say children should be left to be children, but other professional expert stress the importance of reading fairly often with their children, up until when they are 10 years of age.
These schools have good track records of getting kids into Oxford and Cambridge, through plenty of motivation and practise, with parents also trained to continue the practise at home.
