A sexual predator who assaulted women in Leeds City centre has been jailed for 16 years by Magistrates.
Illegal immigrant, Lamin Touray, attempted to rape one of his victims in a car park when he forced her to the ground as she made her way home from a xmas party in the early hours of the morning. The court was told how a CCTV operator was seriously concerned for the young girl, that he abandoned his duty to run to her aid in a bid to rescue the unsuspecting girl from the terror about to befall her.
Only 48 hours earlier, the beast had followed another victim from the same area to the entrance of her flat where he sexually assaulted her. The Gambian national was on the run at the time of the second offence in Leeds which took place on December 23 last year. The court also heard that this same individual had also sexually attacked another girl on the streets of South Wales in 2009
Leeds is full of many beautiful young girls because of the prestigious University of Leeds that is the teaching base to several bright students not only from across the country, but also all over the world. The town which also has the Leeds Metropolitan University and Leeds Trinity college boasts one of the most exciting nights out, with an abundance of clubs and house parties hosted by socially vibrant bright students, may off whom have left home for the first time in pursuit of further education to boost their future prospects. The city also attracts several businesses and professionals.
The downside to this popular city is that it has also attracted some of the worst rapists and sexual attackers who prey on young girls because they seemingly lack what it takes to pull one of their own who would consensually respond to their advances. There have been several sexual attacks in the city in the last few years, with hyde park and the town city being one of its most targeted areas.
People from leeds were last year voted to be one of the most dressed in the country. The city is not for perverts who have no regard for the law or requirement of consent for any sexual activity. Touray has finally been caught and will not be able to assault anyone for the next decade. He will further be put on the sex offender’s register.
