Icy conditions in Norfolk has experienced a total of 75 road related incidences morning, the police force in the county has said.
A spokesperson for the force stated that although not all of them were weather related, they had seen a spike due to the icy conditions.
South Norfolk dealt with 40 incidents on Thursday morning, and four cars crashed within 100 meters of each other at the junction of Green Lane and Hospital Road,
Cops rushed to Crownthorpe at 8am after four cars crashed within 100 metres of each other at the junction of Green Lane and Hospital Road.The icy conditions sent the cars into the ditches, as a collision of the vehicles disastrously rolled and collided with one of the crashed cars.
Icy conditions took its toll in Norfolk- 3 people slipped and hurt themselves in Kings Lynn, as they walked out of Kings Lynn train station.
One woman hurt herself so bad that she ended up in hospital.
The A140 at Scole was also closed for several hours after a car ended up on its side at 7.30am.
The effects of icy conditions were also grim in Hepnell Lane. Two fire crews from Diss were called to an accident scene where a car ended up in a ditch on Stuston Lane and in Hempnall the ambulance service attended a single vehicle crash on Bungay Road.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice. Commuters everywhere in the U.k are advised to take extra care as they move from A to B. The state of the weather varies in different parts of the country, but when icy conditions start to hit one part of the country, one never knows when it would spread.
The new year has started with very cold temperatures, calling for people to take extra care every day.
Warm clothing is very important in the cold weather. Passengers should also drive carefully. Some comfort can be taken from the fact that the weather generally starts to warm up a bit in March, just about 6 weeks away.
