By Iain Eames-
Hacktivist group, ‘fancy bear” has released a second batch of details containing information about medical data of athletes from five more countries.
They include America, Britain, Chec Republic, Romania, and Russia.
The leak was obtained when the hacking group successfully hacked into the World Anti Doping Association’s (WADA) details in order to expose more information about the prohibited acts of top Olympics, and also athletes that compete for other countries.
Hacking is an illegal activity, making it shocking that this organization are comfortable enough to release this type of information to the public domain.
They have continued with impunity, which raises serious concerns about their operational activities.
Recently, the group exposed the fact the legendary Williams sisters were granted immunity and exemption, allowing them to consume products otherwise banned to other athletes.
However, WADA have defended their actions, but more probing is necessary to understand precisely why they were granted full exemption.
Organizations that do the wrong thing should indeed be exposed, whatever their clout or standing.
Regardless conflicting issue that arises is how an organization that declares it’s role in illegal activity can be.given a continuous platform to carry out their illegal activities.
It seems totally wrong and unacceptable for this the continuity of this kind of activity to be encouraged.
Yet, if any illegalities permitted by the World.Anti Doping Agency comes to light, it gives the hacking group a role in holding them to account. An illegal role all the same.
The Russian government have denied any connections with the, and have categorically denied them. Several more names have been released by the hacktivist group, but The eye of media.com will not participate in the releasing of names illegally obtained.
