North Greenwich Council have ordered a landlady to conduct repairs for a violent resident whose tenancy expired last year, and who has not paid a penny in rent for over a year.
The landlady in question was assaulted by 47 year old bully, Christian Nwala, who was convicted by Bexleyheath Magistrates Court in for grievous bodily harm. He was given a 26 weeks suspended sentence for damaging her eyes because it was his first offence, but his sentence was far too light. Nwala, who has not paid a penny in rent since May, 2017 has called the Council a number of times to ask them to get the landlady he assaulted to conduct repairs at the property. The landlady who The Eye Of Media.Com has granted anonymity at her request says Nwala’s assault on her has caused her brain trauma with psychological complications attached to it. She told The Eye Of Media.Com that his anti social behaviour resulted in other tenants moving from her Plumstead property, straining her financial resources, whilst she continued paying her mortgage.
Meanwhile, councilors from North Greenwich Council have continued to call her asking her to conduct repairs to ceiling in the property.
Nwala has refused to pay his council tax rate throughout his stay, and presented a fake name of Sharon Fowler to Thames Water, to avoid detection. The tearful landlady, told The Eye Of Media.Com:
” I can’t believe the council are bothering me to conduct repairs at the request of a man residing at my property without paying rent. This is unacceptable. This rogue of a human being denied receiving a notice of eviction which I definitely gave him, despite admitting receiving it during the criminal proceedings. I know I have a duty to conduct repairs, but how can a man who assaulted me and has played the law to continue living in my property think he can call the council to make demands of me? Christian Nwala has caused a considerable financial burden on me as I have had to pay the mortgage of my property since May 2017 despite having to pay for the property where I currently reside. Due to his violent outbursts, I have been unable to rent my other two rooms upstairs because tenants as soon as prospective tenants ask what the tenants living at the property are like, I am obliged to be honest with them.
I currently have one tenant there, but the other two remain unoccupied. unoccupied bedrooms at I previously had tenants in the upstairs of the property, but due to the ongoing incidents with Christian Nwala, the tenants moved out for fear of their safety.
Christian broke my eye, causing me to loose vision in it for two months. He also fractured my nose which resulted in me having 2 hours surgery at the hospital, I was moved from one hospital to another because of this brute, and he thinks he can call the Council on me. He comfortably resides at my property whilst I pay the mortgage and utility bills. He even refused to charge electricity and gas using ours when we charge. He has confronted my workers on the occasions I sent them to conduct repairs
As a result of Christian Nwala attack and violet to me I have suffered brain trauma, a broken eye socket and a broken nose. I was blinded in one eye for two months”.
”I was issued an improvement notice by the council in August 2017, after Christian Nwala broke my washing machine and cupboard with a hammer when he was in a rage, but he denied being the culprit when police investigated. I am being forced to repair his damage, and the thought of it drives me crazy. Under pressure, I wrote to mr.Nwala as a matter of courtesy to inform him of my plans commence refurbishment upstairs. I went to the extent of inviting a Police Officer to hand in a letter to personally to mr.Nwala informing them of my plans to commence refurbishments. When the builders arrived, he bullied and harassed the builders, to the extent of calling the Police on them, alleging that the builders wants to kill them. He concocts all sorts of ridiculous allegations just to confuse police about what is really going on. I have never met a man as devious as mr.Nwala. The police have attended my property on numerous occasions, but never recorded a crime once”.

” I again wrote a letter to this man this year, expressing my plans to replace some broken cupboards, but he sent the letter back to me “Return back to sender”. We do not have a relationship of that of Landlord and tenants, and he is not a tenant since he pays no rent. I don’t want to conduct any repairs until he moves out of my property”. They hate my sight so badly. Once I went to clear the garage, the next thing Christian and Nnena called the police for me, three police vehicle turned up with serine. I questioned what was wrong, the police stated that Christian Nwala and Nnena Onigbo alleged that I was stealing their things from their garage. They are willing to kill me to take my property. IO I have never come across their type in my whole life”.
The Eye Of Media.Com has attended the property in Plumstead on two occasions and attempted to get a comment from mr.Nwala, but on both occasions he has declined to comment. The Eye Of Media.Com contacted the Royal Borough of Greenwich for a comment, but their communications officer, said they were still awaiting an approval for their official comment. We are currently standing my the landlady and saying to the council that they have no right to bother her about the repairs in question at this present time in light of all the circumstances that have occurred.
