Greater Manchester Police are searching for 28-year-old John Bellfield, who is wanted in connection with a “targeted and deliberate” incident in Mossley.
A murder probe was launched into the death of Thomas Campbell, 38, after he was found lifeless on the morning of Sunday, July 3.
GMP have released three images of John Bellfield, 28(pictured), whom they are looking for in connection with Mr Campbell’s death. The force spokesman said Mr Bellfield is ‘believed to be dangerous’ and warned the public not to approach him.
Mr Bellfield is from Openshaw, but is believed to have links to Lancashire. GMP also warned members of the public not to willingly withhold information about Mr Bellfield’s whereabouts.
Bellfield is among three people charged in connection with Mr Campbell’s death.
The body of Thomas Campbell was found inside a house on Riverside in Mossley on the morning of Sunday, 3 July.
At the time, detectives described Mr Campbell’s death as the result of an “horrific and “targeted” attack.
A manhunt is now underway to find John Bellfield, from Openshaw, who is wanted on suspicion of Mr Campbell’s murder.

South Yorkshire Police has since shared an urgent appeal to track down Bellfield’s whereabouts.
Last week, Coleen Campbell, 38, and two men, Stephen Cleworth, 37, and Reece Steven, 29, appeared over videolink at Manchester Crown Court for a preliminary hearing following the death of Mr Campbell.

Detectives from GMP have linked Mr Campbell to a network of drug dealers involved in the supply of cocaine.
A GMP spokesperson said: ‘Do not approach Bellfield and if you see him call 999.
‘We are actively seeking his arrest and ask that anyone with information about his whereabouts contacts us immediately.
‘He is from the Openshaw area of the city and is believed to also have links to Lancashire, but could be anywhere in the country.
‘Anyone who knows Bellfield, and may be withholding information, is reminded that assisting a suspect can lead to a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
‘Our detectives continue to investigate Thomas’ death in Mossley after his body was discovered on the morning of 3 July.
‘We’ve charged three people so far and continue to keep Thomas’ family updated while our specialist officers support them.’
