Why Girls Do Better Than Boys in GCSE’s

By Kelly Toomey-

Girls do better than boys in G.C.S.E’s, according to statistics of the last few years. Why has this trend not been reversed?

It seems obvious that girls are far more focused than boys, as many boys spend more time chasing the young lady’s and watching television.

Preparations for G.C.S.E’s requires focusgirls and consistency over a two year period. Not many boys are dedicated enough to commit to the required level of hard work needed to get the required level of grade C above that equates good performance.

young lady’s are generally more focused than young men and more organized too. As the more emotional gender, they have greater foresight when it comes to contemplating the potential of falling short of their academic goals.

females are generally more ambitious than males. This must not be misconstrued as a sexist statement, it is one hundred percent factual.

Ambitious teenage boys certainly exist, but they are outnumbered when it comes to thinking ahead.

As females, we are more likely to cry over disappointment than boys, who generally feel the need to put up this matcho front. The drive to excel academically seems to be generally weaker in teenage males than in teenage females.

Girls are also more attentive in class than boys, who are are more easily led and susceptible to peer pressure. They give in more to nuisance and mischief in class. They are also less likely to seek extra help from teachers than boys.

Pride is a relevant factor to why Girls perform better than girls in G.C.S.E’s. Girls are more likely to seek extra help from their parents too, and are also more responsive to correction than boys are.

It is obvious that there are girls who are un-serious, distracted, and rebellious. However, in relatively good schools where direction is readily available from teachers, it is the females who respond better. It therefore is no surprise that girls generally do better than boys in their G.C.S.E’s.
