Floyd Mayweather Books MGM Grand For Bug Fight

Unbeaten five weight champion, Floyd Mayweather , has booked he MGM Grand for a big fight on August 26.

No opponent has been named, but speculation is ride that a clash against UFC lightweight champ, Connor McGregor, is the man set to face Mayweather in a huge clash.

Boxing and UFC do not conventionally mix, bit wherever the prospect of big money is high, so is Mayweather. An announcement by the Las Vegas Review journal that a big fight have been booked at MGM Grand has got fans juices flowing. McGregor himself posted on instagram that a big fight is coming soon.

Mayweather announced his retirement after his landslide victory against Manny Pacqua in. 2016 , but has been openly flirting with talks of a right with McGregor for about a year now.

Boxing and UFC traditionally don’t mix, but the high prospects of huge cash and Mayweather mix well. A known fact is that there is no boxer rumoured to be scheduled for any fight with Mayweather , adding credibility to the view that a fight between Mayweather and McGregor is on the cards , whilst talks are ongoing.

Both boxing and UFC fans will be keen to see the fight but it may compromise the standard of the sport if UFC fighters are allowed to enter big boxing fights for big pay. McGregor is not a boxer , but has plenty of fighting ability accompanied with few, solid aggression.

Mayweather is a defensive master with slippery skills who will be expected to have too much for McGregor . McGregor cannot be ruled out even against a boxing legend like Mayweather, but this may prove a deceptive stunt against the sporting public if the e fight truly takes place and Mayweather makes a full of McGregor .

Mayweather last boxed in 2015 when he met Manny Pacqua on points after the fight was delayed.By some five years from when it should have first occured. The Americans unbeaten 48 record fight career has some impressive names on it that proves his supreme ability in the sport.

He was one fight from matching the unbeaten world record of Joe Louise ‘ s 49 fight record, but elected to retire than fight then unbeaten Kelly Brook to make history. This may be his chosen route , but hard core boxing fans will want to see him face the next best opponent in his division instead of fighting an champion trained in using his legs and elbows to support his fists in all out brutal fights.

Neither Mayweather nor McGregor’s team have. confirmed the fight, but insiders strongly believe the fight is as good a done deal as any other, with both parties still ironing out the terms of a fight.
