West Yorkshire police has announced the seizure of a total of nine kilos of heroin from the boot of a vehicle during a search on Friday.
One male who had £500,000 on him with drugs has been arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply, and was remanded into custody until January 6.
His courage to take such large of money in a car with so much drugs in it surprised a lot of locals, many of whom have concluded police might have been tipped off about the criminal and caught him in his tracks.
The man was swimming in money but met his fate, one which many dealers don’t contemplate, but are lured into a life of financial abundance without the challenges sure to face them at some point.
Drug dealers in the West Yorkshire area and many other parts of the Uk, earn a fortune from their criminal activities, attracting young teenagers to a trade filled with drama and rivalry.
The excitement of a fast life and the promise of financial comfort and pleasure has long been a magnet for many youths without academic qualifications, and many enjoy the high life without much problems, but problems are exactly the automatic enemy every drug dealer must face.
A statement shared by West Yorkshire Police read: “Police have seized heroin with an estimated value of £500,000 after stopping a vehicle in the Batley area. Officers from the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit (YH ROCU), assisted by West Yorkshire Police, seized a total of nine kilos of the Class A drug which was found in the boot of the vehicle after a search on Friday afternoon (December 9).
“One male was arrested and has been charged with possession with intent to supply. He appeared before magistrates on Saturday where he was remanded into custody until January 6 at Leeds Crown Court.”
There are an estimated 150,000 heroine addicts in the Uk whose lives are entirely dependent on it, and who are completely hooked on drugs.
