Pop Star, Peter Andre, showed his compassionate side when he met one of his biggest fans- a young disabled girl with Cerebal Palsy.
The stand out celebrity had a private meet and greet for three-year-old Georgie Gibbs a week after she returned home from a pioneering operation.
His time out with the disabled girl thrilled her family, who recently returned from Bristol Royal Hospital for Children after a three week stay. The star alongside her precious family watched as Georgie took her first independent steps, thanks to the incredible operation..
Her mum Claire told The eye of Media.com ” He was such a nice fella, so down to earth.
“He was interested in the help the Georgie campaign and wanted to know how he could help Georgie’s cause even more.
“Georgie gave him a few presents and he also accepted a t-shirt from Georgie which she personalized to him celebrating national cerebral palsy awareness day on March 25th.
“He said he thought we all looked fantastic in our matching green tops and we explained it was to promote National Cerebral Palsy Day.”
Peter took an interest in Georgie’s recovery and we explained the operation to him, and also the fact that some children had missed out on having a selective dorsal rhizotomy because the trial had ended.
“He wanted to know how he could help her, so we explained her physio over the next two years, and he said lots of reaching up and clapping at the show will help her secret physio. He was really sweet, and called her a sweetie, which really made her day.
Peter Andre plans to use her t shirt to raise awareness about her condition. His time out with the young girl was touching, and the sort of time spent that looks good on celebrities.
Peter took an interest in Georgie’s recovery and the family explained about the operation and that some children had missed out on having a selective dorsal rhizotomy because the trial had ended.
“He asked what he could do for Georgie and we discussed how important physio is over the next two years, he said lots of reaching up and clapping at the show will help her secret physio.
“He was very keen to use the t-shirt Georgie gave him to help Georgie promote national CP day and we asked him if he would wear green that day.
“He was so lovely and compassionate to our family’s circumstances and amazed at Georgie’s progress – he said she is a real little sweetie.
