Commissioner’s Report On Pervert MP Was Filled With Prejudicial Anomalies

By Gabriel Princewill

The Parliamentary Commissioner’s report into the actions of a  former pervert Mp who resigned was laden with prejudicial anomalies, according to a report we can publish today.

The report is  entirely critical  of one  made in 2019 by Parliamentary Commissioner, Kathryn Stone, about  MP Griffiths, though recognises some of the limitations placed on her appraisal.Of particular objection is a hint in Ms Stone’s report  that one of the women who was the subject of lewd text messages from the disturbed Mp may have been a constituent of the Mp.

Our report  entitled ”How Mp Griffiths Embarrassed Mp Codes’ states that the ambiguous speculation ”merited confirmation rather than just a hint”, adding that certainty in relation to the precise facts of the matter was obtainable from text messages. It goes further in  making reference to a warning by the Conservative party, which stated that the existence of mental health issues would be inexcusable if it were to occur again

Written by former social worker manager Hortensia Daniels, currently on the board of governor of two secondary schools in the Uk, her report frowns at a system that appears to cover up the misconduct of the powerful, but exhibit a double standard when it comes to the common man. Allowing cover ups or its appearance to go unchallenged will equate  lack of accountability for those who make our laws.

The parliamentary Committee has vowed to stamp out misconduct among Mps and review its codes of conduct in a bid to maintain respectable practices in Parliament. Review of the Codes Of Coduct for Mps began this month.

The essence of the report was mainly to expose unacceptable shortcomings in the original assessment by the Commissioner and influence parliament to strive towards observing the highest attainable standards for its Members of parliament, whom as the author of the report sates, hold coveted positions in society. The report suggests that demonstrations held by the public at the time indicates how abhorrent mr Griffiths actions were perceived to be, and that it did bring the House to disrepute at the time.

Parliamentary Commissioners  have repeatedly been criticised in the past for seemingly allowing offending Mps to evade punishment, using internally derived codes that appear little more than a pretext to afford them impunity in the face of reproachable conduct. In reality, the prescribed rules contained in the codes of conduct provides the appointed examiner a framework within which they are expected to determine the guilt or otherwise of ministers under its scrutiny.

Drawing parallels from the conduct of  the police, and the expectations the public have of them even off duty,  Mps are called to be conscious of their image at all times even when off duty. The fairly exhaustive report criticises  the Parliamentary Commissioner for evaluating mr.Griffiths conduct in a way that did not appear to give the full extent of his misdemeanour.

It also emphatically stipulates the fact mr.Griffiths indulged in Sadomaschism as constituting enough evidence that his actions brought the House Of Commons  to disrepute. The report makes reference to the wide protests following his acquittal, as evidencing the public’s disgust with the official judgement.

The Parliamentary Commissioner’s decision to cite mental health issues suffered by Griffiths is criticised using a warning given by the Conservative party that it would be grave if it were to occur again, with or without mental health issues.   Mr. Griffiths resigned voluntarily and apologised for his shameful behaviour. His apology is more likely to have been for being caught, as opposed to his actions.
