A mystery lottery winner is still to come forward two weeks after the winning £1million ticket was drawn. The National Lottery is now on the hunt for the Lotto player who lives in the Vale of Glamorgan area in Wales.
The lucky winner from the draw on April 16, 2022 is yet to check their ticket and claim their prize. The winning Lotto numbers on that date were 2, 4, 6, 35, 55, 58 and the Bonus Ball was 44.
The lucky ticket-holder has until October 13, 2022, to claim their prize.
Under Camelot rules, anyone not in possession of their ticket, for whatever reason, but who believes they have a genuine claim can still make a claim in writing to Camelot, it is done within 30 days of the draw. Camelot will then undertake an investigation to see if the claim can be ascertained.
A separate search is on for a second mystery lottery winner in the Cardiff and Vale area. The National Lottery hunting for the winner who could be celebrating in style after having won £10K a month for one year on the ‘Set For Life’ draw-based game.
The owner of the winning ticket, bought in Cardiff, matched the five main numbers in the Set For Life draw on Monday, April 18 2022 (Easter Monday). The winning Set For Life numbers on that date were 7, 9, 12, 31, 43 and the Life Ball was 7 . The lucky ticket-holder has until October 15, 2022 to claim their prize.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings, this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life. We’re urging everyone who bought a ticket in this area to check their old Lotto tickets again – the easiest way to do this is via the National Lottery app – and look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.
“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”
If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK. Anyone who has any queries or who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or email [email protected] .
Last month, Camelot announced a search to find the owner of the winning ticket from the EuroMillions draw on November 12, 2021. The missing ticket was bought in Portsmouth and the winning Millionaire Maker code for this prize was XVGW 54390. The lucky ticket-holder only has until Wednesday, 11 May 2022 to claim their prize.
Last week, Lura Hoyle, from Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, and her partner Kirk Stevens won the prize – lasting for 30 years – during a national Covid lockdown last March.
Since the win, Ms Hoyle has given up work and the pair have bought a house.
The money has also enabled them to pursue their passion for ghost-hunting.
Ms Hoyle matched all five main numbers plus the Life Ball to win the top prize in the Set For Life draw on 1 March.
Recalling the call more than a year later, the 40-year-old said: “I was physically shaking as I told the lady: ‘I think I’ve won the lottery!’
“And the ridiculous part was that, as I waited for Camelot to call me back, I still had to join work meetings online. I could hardly speak, let alone make any sense.”
