This led to supporters in the away stand, from Hungary and Poland, according to the Met, attacking officers.

Detective Constable Dawid Ratajczak called it a “challenging operation” as several arrests were made on the day. An appeal launched today (December 7) hopes to identify five men in connection with the violence that broke out.

DC Ratajczak said: “I would urge anyone who recognises these people to get in touch immediately and quote the relevant reference number shown on the image. This type of behaviour has no place in football or wider society and these people must be held responsible for their actions.”
