AMAZING STAR WARS MOVIE SHATTERS BOX OFFICE RECORDS

Star wars has shattered box office records, with an estimated $517m in world sales after Disney giant films purchased Lucas film for $4bn as part of his bet on big budget films. The epic fiction franchise created by George Lucas in 1977 has topped the domestic market in the last decade in terms of its sales revenue, generating £238m in America and Canada. It also set records in Britain, Australia, Russia, making it one of the most celebrated films in recent times.

The films success has even prompted American president, Barack Obama, to express a desire to lead a White House screening of the film. This demonstrates the level of dedication and top skill the actors and film makers have put into this film. Global sales are second only to Dinosaur film jurassic world which has generated $525m world wide.

The film empire is set to generate the biggest grossing revenues ever, second only to Avatar, which earned a whopping $208.8m at cinemas in its first weekend. It is projected to earn an average of $669m from the franchise in each of the next 6 years, making it the most premiere film to capture the imagination of the public in the last decade; only second to Avar, which yielded £208.8m in domestic cinemas during its first weekend.
