Adele has announced a Las Vegas residency with weekend performances due to begin in the new year.
The singer will perform on Friday and Saturday nights in the Colosseum theatre at Caesars Palace Hotel from 21 January until 16 April 2022.
Fans will have to register for pre-sale access before 3 December to obtain tickets for Weekends With Adele..
The Los Angeles based star follows in the footsteps of other famous faces including Celine Dion, Sir Elton John, Usher and Sir Rod Stewart, who have all performed at the venue.
Concert residencies in Las Vegas have become a major attraction in recent years for musicians who do not wish to travel extensively on traditional tours.
The 4,100-seat capacity Las Vegas shows come ahead of Adele’s two gigs at the BST Summertime events in London’s Hyde Park on 1 and 2 July, which currently remain her only upcoming European tour dates.
During her media engagements for 30, Adele expressed a desire to tour the album but added that the current climate means it is a difficult task.
Only those fans with special codes will be able to access tickets, and if demand in the pre-sale exceeds supply, the tickets will not be offered publicly.
The two shows every weekend will last until April 16. Registration for pre-sale tickets opened on Tuesday and will continue until Thursday.
A pre-sale for those who have registered for tickets will begin on December 7 10am PST (6pm GMT).
Due to “overwhelming” demand, tickets will only go on sale if there are any left over after the pre-sale for those who have registered.
The news comes after Adele’s latest record, 30, was confirmed to be singer’s fourth number one album.
Selling more than 260,000 copies in one week, it has overtaken ABBA ‘s Voyage to have the biggest opening week of the year so far.
The Someone Like You singer has reached Number 1 on the Official Album Chart in the UK with all four of her albums so far, which is said to be a record for a female artist.
The album details the breakdown of Adele’s marriage to charity boss Simon Konecki, with whom she has a son Angelo.
Weekends With Adele will take place between 21 January and 16 April 2022, with two shows each weekend. Tickets go on general sale on 7 December.
The concerts at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace Hotel, come in the wake of her fourth album 30, released earlier this month to general critical acclaim and huge commercial success. It is at No 1 in the UK and US, where it became the year’s biggest-selling album after just three days on sale.
Adele performed two one-off concerts to mark the album’s release, her first shows since June 2017 when she closed her world tour with two nights at Wembley Stadium (two final shows were cancelled due to damaged vocal cords).
