Sir Elton John made an appearance in court, after being called as a defence witness in the trial of Kevin Spacey at Southwark Crown Court.
The 76-year-old was called to appear via videolink from Monaco, along with his husband David Furnish, to answer questions about one of Spacey’s alleged victims.
John, who played his last ever gig as a touring artist in Sweden last week, was wearing a black jacket and white shirt with orange tinted glasses.

Spacey, standing trial under his full name Kevin Spacey Fowler, denies sex offences concerning four men, including sexual assault and indecent assault, which are alleged to have been committed between 2001 and 2013.
The Hollywood actor has been accused of assaulting a man, grabbing his crotch as he was driving to Sir Elton’s White Tie and Tiara ball which nearly caused the alleged victim to veer off the road.
Giving evidence last week, Spacey denied he is a sexual bully and labelled the prosecution’s case against him as “weak” – accusing one alleged victim of being after “money, money and then money”.

The 63-year-old told Southwark Crown Court he could have had sex “all the time” but found it hard to trust people because of his fame.
Over the course of the trial, each of Spacey’s accusers have given evidence – variously describing him as a “vile sexual predator”, “slippery” and “atrocious, despicable, disgusting”
Sir Elton said he couldn’t recall ever meeting the complainant at any event,
Sir Elton told jurors: “I’m looking straight forward at my car there.
“When I come out of the theatre, it’s always a mad rush to get into the car.
“Anyone who is on my periphery, I wouldn’t notice them. It could be the Queen and I wouldn’t notice her.”
John also asked about Spacey’s presence at the White Tie and Tiara ball, which was held annually for a period of “maybe 15, 16 years” at John and Furnish’s home in Windsor. The event was hosted by the Elton John AIDS Foundation and sponsored by OK Magazine, who would provide photographers and publish the resulting images in their magazine.

John said he recalled Spacey’s arrival at the event in 2001 because “he arrived in white tie. He came on a private jet and he came straight to the ball,” John told the prosuection barrister, Christine Agnew KC.
