Another complaint has been made about the unnamed presenter in April, it has emerged. According to reports the second complainant was contacted by the presenter and pressured to meet up, after which abusive messages were sent.
The force says it was contacted by the parents of the young person at the centre of the claims in the Sun, but “no criminality was identified”
The second complainant has no connection to the person from the Sun’s original story
The presenter allegedly pressured the person to meet up, and later sent abusive messages
Earlier, BBC director general Tim Davie defended the BBC’s initial response to the allegations
He insisted the corporation needed to check “very serious” allegations before speaking to the presenter about the first complaint
The allegation from the mother of the young person whose child was 17 when the BBC presenter started paying them in exchange for explicit photos for thousands of pounds has had doubt cast over the claims since they were made.
Cynics believe the U turn in the account may has been the influence of money from the presenter.
However, The Sun has stood by its claims that the story is authentic.
