The youngest child by his former wife, Simone, 52, to whom he was married for six years, Summer movingly said: ‘There are no words. It feels like I’m dreaming, waiting for someone to wake me up and tell me that you’re ok.

‘This can’t be real life. There’s no way that life is this cruel to the most beautiful people on this earth.

‘There’s no way that I will never hear your soft voice again telling me that “everything is going to be okay” or how “proud” you are of me, or simply saying “goodnight”, “good morning”, or “I love you”.’

Summer  has previously posted multiple photos to her Instagram page to pay tribute to her beloved father, who died in Koh Samui, Thailand, in early March from a potential number of causes,  summarily concluded to have fallen under natural causes.

The  former cricketing legend who had died the day after concluding a 14 day health fasting regime, had suffered from asthma, and recently recovered from Covid-19. He had also been a heavy smoker.
He is set to be farewelled in a state memorial service at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on March 30, with a private funeral expected to take place on March 20.

Close friends will join Warne’s parents Keith and Brigette, brother Jason and his children, Brooke, Jackson and Summer at the gathering in Melbourne this weekend.

Cricket pals, former teammates, poker buddies, media colleagues, and mates from his beloved St Kilda AFL club, have been sent invites to his funeral.

The cricketer’s body was flown from Thailand to Australia last Thursday.

Warne became a global star in 1993 by bowling out Mike Gatting with the so-called ‘Ball of the Century’ – his first ball in Ashes cricket.

He went on to get 708 test wickets, tormenting teams all over the world, especially Australia’s great rival England.
