By James Simons-
KCTMO may have blood on their hands after the awful fire that killed more than six people and injured over 50 people.
Bitter complaints that the landlords in charge of the former multi million pound tower block will surely haunt them. Complaints relating to safety deserves the highest level of attention . Attention without delay , unlike the reckless ignorance that may have caused a lot of people in North Kensington sorrow and heartache. Any evidence of negligence will mean they have blood on ltheir hands. Far too often, those in position of authority get too big for their boots as they drag their feet when it comes to addressing critical issues.
Reports that over 90 percent of people in he building had complained about safety issues is a painful fact to know. Some of the dead would have cast their minds back to the constant but resisted complaints they made over the recently refurbished but doomed tower block. KCTMO must be held to account over their disastrous failings, once proven.
A blog post in November 2016 read:
” It is a truly terrifying thought but the Greenfall Action Group fairly believe that only a catastrophe event will expose the ineptitude and incompetence of our landlord, KCTMO, and bring and end to the dangerous living conditions and neglect of healthy and safety regulations that they inflict on their tenants and households” .
Today, that group updated their post with the addition words that read :
” all our warnings fell on deaf ears . We predicted that a catastrophe like this was inevitable and just a matter of time. It is our conviction that a serious fire in a tower block or similar high density residential property is the most likely reason that those who wield power at the KCTMO will be found out and brought to justice “.
The KCTMO must truly be brought to justice if it is found that the fire caused by factors that could have been avoided. There is absolutely no excuse for any negligence that has caused the horrific loss of lives and scarred many. Compensation, resignations, and legal suite must inevitably follow this tragedy unless the fire can be shown to have been arson or any cause due to the negligence of one of he residents.
Members of The Greenfield Action Group must also look out for a cover up in the investigation. Bosses of organisations across the world are known to cover up their tracks during investigations , and this is something that must be closely monitored. The KCTMO at the time of writing this article have not commented. It is safe to assume they are in hiding. They can run but not hide. The KCTMO have alot of questions to answer. They should have out a statement by now expressing their condolences and offering and unreserved apology.
Instead, they are probably working out their excuses in a desperate bid to avoid prosecution or compensation. The powerful landlords from the KCTMO will have nightmares, but it can’t compare to the nightmares experienced by families of the poor victims of this terrible tragedy.
