Members Of U.S Electoral College On Mission To Block Donald Trump

By James Simons-

Members of the electoral college are trying to block Donald Trump from becoming president.Instead, they hope to convince fellow Electors to cast their vote for what they describe as a “reasonable Republican candidate.”

Trump will officially become president when the ballots from the Electoral College are cast on Dec. 19.

In the interim period, a small group of Electors calling themselves Hamilton Electors, say it is their duty to ensure that the next president is qualified for the position,.

Members of this group are making reference to a quote from Alexander Hamilton in the Federalist Paper No. 68: “The process of [the Electoral College] affords a moral certainty, that the office of President will never fall to the lot of any man who is not in an eminent degree endowed with the requisite qualifications.”

Members of this group are saying that Donald Trump is not endowed with the required qualifications to be president. The criteria for president in the Federalist paper No.68 will be strange to most people, particular American voters who believed that whoever won the elections who this group who desperately feel the need to replace Trump ad give the presidency to a Republican they believe to be better qualified than Trump. This has never been implemented against any other American president in history and will expectedly meet some stumbling blocks.

The electoral college has never been implemented against any other American president in history and will expectedly meet some stumbling blocks. However, if these group are serious about their plans, then the American elections may yet have a final chapter in its already theatrical saga that engaged the world during the elections will automatically become president.

Not so, according to this group who desperately feel the need to replace Trump ad give the presidency to a Republican they believe to be better qualified than Trump.  Electoral College Question Trump’s Commitment

A press release BY Elector Michael Baca read, “The next President needs to have the values that represent Americans. I’m a former United States Marine. Honor, courage, and commitment are absolutely ingrained into the fibre of my being, and I do not believe that Donald Trump has those values.”

Elector Bret Chiafalo added, “As the Constitution was set up by our Founding Fathers, they designed the Electoral College as the last line of defence against an unfit President. … So all we’re trying to do is honour what the Founding Fathers gave us.”
shouldn’t they? It’s their job. And don’t even try to use the “people have spoken” argument.

Baca said the biggest criticism they have received so far is along the lines of, ‘The people have spoken, why don’t you go with the people?’ However, he pointed out that if they did that, Clinton would be the president. ”The Constitution is quite clear about what our job is and that it’s our decision at the end of the day.”

The Hamilton Electors consider themselves the last stop in an emergency situation, which they say they intend to implement. The plot to thwart Trump’s election victory is a serious one that will likely get president-elect Trump preparing a counter attack if there is one.

President-elect Trump was a controversial candidate in this month’s presidential elections but pulled off one of the biggest upsets when he defied the odds and won the elections.
