The White House has accused President -elect Trump of hiring ex RT staff.
President Barack Obama’s spokesman in a Monday briefing has accused President-elect Donald Trump and highly placed members of his team of “lucrative” ties with Russia, crucially stating that his national security adviser was a “paid contributor” on RT.
Press secretary to the White House, Josh Earnest, made the astonishing claim against Trump at the daily briefing on Monday, linking “malicious Russian cyber activity” to top campaign officials, tracing their it to their backgrounds.
Earnest frankly stated:
“It was the president-elect who refused to disclose his financial connections to Russia,” said Earnest. “It was the president-elect who hired a campaign chairman with extensive, lucrative, personal financial ties to Russia. It was the president-elect who had national security advisor on the campaign that had been a paid contributor to RT, the Russian propaganda outlet.”
President Elect Trump’s Integrity Questionned
In a sting aimed at discrediting the integrity of President-elect Trump, Earnest was implicitly stating that President-elect Trump’svoctory at the U.S elections was credited to the alleged cyber attacks on Hillary Clinton, insinuating that they were being rewarded by Trump with highly official positions in his team.
The claim will cause more concern that president -elect Trump is likely to favour Russia in a way that will be detrimental to the interest of the United States,l Manafort is the “campaign chairman” with alleged ties to Russia, also linked to Ukraine’s former government.
Manafort was accused in August by the current Ukraine government of pocketing more than $12 million as a lobbyist and consultant for the “pro-Russian regime.” HManafort also worked for a company founded by Tony Podesta – brother of John Podesta, who was Bill Clinton’s former chief of staff and campaign chairman for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
The strange thing is why this was never brought up during the elections, which would have been the ideal time to raise this. The revelations will raise fresh questions about the suitability of Manafort on President-elect Trump’s team. It may also add to the already serious lingering questions about the legitimacy of president-elect Trump’s election victory, adding fuel to those very eager to thwart Trump’s inauguration into the White House.
The challenge facing strong opponents of president-elect Trump is proving the claims, because without evidence, strong objections only rest on suspicion. However, the current U.S administration is absolutely convinced this is the case, they may have a grand plan in place to topple president-elect Trump before he even enters office. The next five weeks will be a very tense one, with many stomachs rolling over at night time throughout the Christmas period and the new year.
