The evil of electronic Internet spam is world wide these days. Spamming is the use of electronic systems to send unsolicited messages for advertising, phishing, the spread of malware or virus for the purposes of disruption or virus creation.
Spammers are numerous in the U.k and abroad because barriers to entry is low and they are often difficult to detect. There are specialist encrypted capable of delivering decoding the I.P address used by spammers, but it takes time.and comes at a cost.
It involves excessive multiple postings to recipients without their consent.
CRIMINAL OFFENCE
Spamming is a criminal offense in the UK, under measures introduced by communications minister in 2003, a spammer can be fined 5,000 pounds by a magistrates court if caught, or an unlimited penalty by a jury.
The same year, president George . W. Bush signed into law the CAN SPAM Act of 2003, though it has been heavily criticized for its un-enforceability, and it’s failure to provide.victims with practical means of redress.
FILTERS
Effective email spam filters generally throw spam mails to the junk box, but some may slip through the net undetected. Mail washer for Windows is one of the effective tools available for deleting spam or malicious emails.
Some spammers have tried to spam the comment section of the eye of media.com of late with useless unrelated comments or sometimes blank messages.
