Whatsapp’s Embarrassing Global Outage Still Messing Up

By Gabriel Princewill-

Whatsapp subjected over 1 billion users to inconvenience on Wednesday , as they unwittingly subjected users to a global outage.

The social media network owned by Facebook , was out of service for over 3 hours yesterday afternoon due to unexamined reasons.

They left disappointed users without their usual favourite medium of communication , whilst senior management met for a conference call to discuss quarterly earnings, the Business Times reported.

The global disruption to services was reportedly not mentioned during their meeting to discuss handsome pay cheques, as this was presumably of secondary importance to the essence of their meeting.

Whatsapp has become the new vehicle of free communication between callers across the globe who want to save money on call costs.

Yet, those wholly reliant on this ostensibly wonderful and innovative service championed by facebook ,were left to hanging to dry with no word of consolation for them, whilst they pondered what was going on.

A spokesman for WhatsApp eventually put out a statement saying :

” earlier today, Whassap users in all parts of the world were unable to access Whassap for a few hours. We have now fixed the issue and apologise for the inconvenience”.

However, Whassap users still claim the service is working intermittently at best. One user told the eye of media.com ” Whassap has let its users down. They say they have fixed the problem, but my Whassap us still not working at all”.

Other users claimed their service was only working from time to time, with disruption still evident in the service.

The cause of the blackout has shamefully still not been provided. The social media network has additionally been poor in its communication, tweeting last in August 2016, it’s last Facebook post being three weeks ago.
