West Yorkshire: Car Explodes Three Times Before Bursting In Flames

A Car ‘exploded three times’, as it burst into flames in Leeds Sainsbury’s car park

The car exploded three separate times with people quite close to it. It remains to be established the exact cause of the explosive crash, but it they driver of the car is believed to have speeding and driving recklessly.

Witnesses told journalists in the area that the car on fire in the car park as he was heading into the Sainsbury’s local and that “you could see the smoke all over Hyde Park”.

Free lance journalists Sharon Hendry who highlighted the story to The Eye Of Media.Com said: ”it is astonishing that nobody died in this accident. It looked like something out of a movie. Only last year, there was another car fire that exploded in a car

Residents from nearby took pictures on their mobile phone to share on social media.

One resident, Amina Ahmed told this publication: ” I have heard that a number of primary and secondary school children have been viewing the picture of the inflamed car, with some sharing it on social media. Efforts are being made to discourage people from sharing unfortunate scenes like this for entertainment.

Photographer Chris Manson said: as regrettable as the incidence was, all the occupants of the car survived. No matter how one looks at it, a car which explodes on fire is always going to be a magnet for photographers. You can imagine the physical impact of the fire, and visual impact of capturing a scene like this on camera or video. It isn’t a scene to celebrate, but it makes for incredible visual”.

The incident was reported  in Leeds local Yorkshire Evening Post .

A spokesperson from Rescue Service said: “There has been a car fire in Royal Park Road today in Hyde Park, Leeds.

“The time of call into our Control Room was 14.11 hrs and Moortown Fire Station’s crew attended.

“They dealt with the fire and left at 14.57 hrs”.
