West Ham say they are “disappointed” with a ruling that the terms of their rental of the Olympic Stadium from next season should be made public.

West ham have expressed disappointment with a ruling that requires the terms of their rental of the Olympic stadium to be made public, after the London Legacy Development Corporation which manages the stadium are set to make public those details. The team which have produced one of its best results in football matches this season were awarded tenancy of the London Olympic stadium 2 years ago with over 200 million pounds spent to convert the site for use as a Premiere league ground.

Only 15m pounds have been contributed by the club to those costs, and the club will pay between 2 and 2.5m pounds, a year in rent. Manchester City and Tottenham hot Spurs pay higher rent in comparison, with the former paying 4m a year and the latter between 11m and 15m pounds a year to use Wembley Stadium. It seems quite clear that West Ham have been favored here, though this may just be a reflection of just how impressed some of their backers might be with their development of late.

Supporters’ trust nationwide believe the deal gives the team a competitive advantage, and requested the fine details under The Freedom of Information Act.
