KISS OF JOY FROM RUSSELL BRAND FOR HAMMERS MANAGER

West ham beat Tottenham  1-0  to the delight of outspoken comedian and political activist, Russell Brand who smacked a celebratory kiss on the face of Hammers manager, Slaven Billic in the presence of an enthralled audience.

Brand, an interesting but very controversial character, once ran the trews network with a following of two million viewers.  Russell Brand did announce he was closing down the channel after his support for former Labour leader, Ed Milliband failed and received several criticisms for comments often considered outrageous and offensive. Brand has always only ever been himself though, just that his natural self can be as equally offensive in the same way it can be entertaining.   Perhaps, he is planning on reviving the channel, otherwise it asremains a mystery where he intended to feature the interview.

Brand remains an enigmatic character, and must be admired for the natural way he manages to capture public interest despite his several provocative outbursts in public. Brand’s sometimes brash and daring inclination to make shocking comments is his main trade mark; his intelligence sometimes contradicted by some statements he makes that would strike us to be poorly considered, have made some writers on this site even question his intelligence.

JOY

Russell Brand doesn’t always act intelligently, but this kiss planted on the mangers cheek was an expression of joy.  Sticking the microphone on him straight after is just another expression of some of Brand’s eccentricities, it is what make shim Russell Brand.  He is just plain different.  Brand is highly opinionated, and also quite intelelctual. However, some of his critics have questionned whether some of the broad knowledge and education he sometimes displays is a true reflection of high intelligence, or just acquired knowledge and education.

INQUIRE
We recently reported how he attended Univeristy of London to inquire about a course, and this could be a reflection of his insatiable desire to continue to broaden his knowledge. This is a good thing, if it is, but knowledge and education must be applied intelligently to present the individual as a proper finished product. Whatever we look at it, Russell Brand has earned a fortune by being funny and eccentric throughout a career that has seen him feature in films and reality telelvison talk shows. His appearnce in any public setting will always be interesting and talked about.

SWEET
This victory for West Ham was all the more sweeter for all, including  extrovert, Russell Brand, because it would be their last meeting before West Ham move to the Olympic stadium next season. The final whistle heightened the ectsatic feeling already building with West Ham fans. It most likely brought out the best of humanity in Russell Brand.  No wonder he was overjoyed. We must wonder what joke Brand would crack in relation to the whole Adam Johnson and the under aged girl hot case that dominated the news this week and concluded with the guilty verdict of The Sunderland £60,000 a week player.  Brand should probably  happiky say ‘ thank God  he is not a West Ham player’. But he will surely have an expensive joke to crack on that one of  if you try him. He always has an expnsive joke under his sleeves- some are funny, some are offensive.

However, the kiss of Brand is always going to be welcome by the West Ham boss, especially as Russell Brand is known to be a regular season ticket hold and avid supporter of the club.
