Tyson Fury Promises War Against Whyte In Wembley Title Defence

By Shaun Murphy-

Tyson Fury has promised a war when he defends his WBC heavyweight title against Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

The Gypsy King was greeted to a champion’s reception as he took to the stage at Boxpark Wembley, with a 1,000 crowd in attendance as momentum builds for what is potentially one of the biggest domestic heavyweight dust ups in many years.

Fury weighed 18st 12lbs and 13oz,on the scales,  some 12lbslighter than when he defeated Deontay Wilder in their epic trilogy contest last October. The indication of his weight loss is that Fury is ready to be as mobile as necessary to dominate Dillian Whyte, who is up for an old fashion war in order to capture the world title he has craved for a long time.6*

Fury and Whyte briefly danced on stage alongside one another as the music blared. Both men know the other will do what it takes to win.

When asked  what he felt about the significance of Tyson Fuey’s weight, Whyte said: “Nothing, some fights are different. Fighting a bigger guy, a much heavier guy than me.

“We’re ready to go to war, trust me. I’m not worried about what he’s doing.”

In response, Whyte dismissed his plans saying that “I can’t believe what Tyson Fury says. Tyson says lots of things.”

“Shout and respect to Dillian and his team, proper professional men, and we are going to give you a real fxxxxx fight,” Fury said, as claimed he was feeling the benefits of a 14-week training camp. “Don’t doubt us. We are going to put a show on. It’s going to be a war.

Fury, who has an unbeaten record of 31 wins and a draw with 22 knockouts is tipped to leave the ring with his Wbc title, but fight fans know Whyte will do everything in his power to seize those belts. Underestimating the Londoner will  be daft, because Whyte is an experienced professional who brings plenty of pressure to every fight.

Fury is an unorthodox boxer who combines mobility and skill with high level of resilience. Dillian Whyte is not the type of opponent he will take lightly in the ring, the gypsy king will have to be alert , smart, and vicious throughout  every moment of Saturday’s fight. Whyte will do everything in his power to win this fight, and he has the strength and fitness to pull off an offset.

An interesting comment from Whyte is that before Fury beat Wladimir Klitschko, not many people imagined him winning an undisputed title.  He won the belts against Wladimir Klitschko and beat Deontey Wilder twice to win and defend the Wbc title.

A win over Dillian Whyte will make Whyte only the third fighter with a name of any kind that Fury has fought. If the fight lives up to the hype, it will add to Fury’s CV, but he will still need that big one for all the belts down the line.

One step at a time, and Fury must first get the win, which will be a late stoppage.
