An Investigation into the unedifying siege against Capitol Hill ast weekend, has discovered it was organised weeks in advance, with the phrase ‘Storm the Capitol’ used hundreds of thousands of times.

According to Zignal Labs, a media insights company, ‘Storm the Capitol’ was mentioned 100,000 times on social media in the   30 days leading up to the attack, The Newyork Times reported

Plans  for the  January 6  attack were shared in many corners of the internet. For example, on The Donald forum, a large number of posts are said to have discussed storming the federal building and bringing weapons to the event.

One post  read: ‘I’m thinking it will be literal war on that day. Where we’ll storm offices and physically remove and even kill all the D.C. traitors and reclaim the country”.

On the eve of the riot, former national security adviser Michael Flynn  had told a crowd,: ‘The members of the House… the members of the US Senate, those of you who are feeling weak tonight, those of you that don’t have the moral fiber in your body, get some tonight. Because tomorrow, we the people are going to be here and we want you to know we will not stand for a lie.’

Financial Support

The co-ordinated attack had been thoroughly arranged, making financial  provision for those who may have been hindered from attending due to cash shortage.

“Patriots, if you need financial help getting to DC to support President Trump on January 6th, please go to my website,” a QAnon adherent who identified himself as Thad Williams, of Tampa, Fla., posted on Twitter three days before the event. He said he had raised more than $27,000. (After the Capitol assault, the money transfer companies PayPal and Stripe shut down his accounts. Mr. Williams did not return a phone message, but the website for his organization, Joy In Liberty, said it had given out $30,000 to fund transportation for “deserving patriots.”)

Others relied on funding from a Go Fund me page.   One campaign, which was titled #PatriotPilgrimageDC, raised $21,548 of a $50,000 goal from 285 donors.
