1 killed and 3 injured – Man reportedly shouts ‘Allah is great,’ and went on a rampage stabbing people at train station near Munich

 

A 27 year old man from Germany, shouted ” Allah Akbar , then added “you infidels” before going on a rampage and stabbing several people at a train station near Munich early today as commuters made their way to work. He killed 1 person and injured 3 more.

Chaos

The scene was chaotic, with people running for their lives out of fear. Hand prints and footprints were left on the ground leading from the train and leaving a trail across the train platform. Forensics are now examining the scene for evidence. The station was immediately closed following the attack, whilst police examined the scene. Access to Grafing station is partially blocked and significant delays are expected.

Police said in a statement ” we arrested the man shortly after the incident and are now holding him for questioning

The prosecutor has confirmed the death of a 50-year-old man. He added that “two people are badly wounded, one is in critical condition.”  The three injured are aged 58, 43 and 55.

Attack

The 27 year old German citizen made an “announcement” before the attack, which prompted the belief the incident was “politically motivated,” the prosecutor said.

According to German law enforcers, He has no criminal record. The offender is reportedly a German citizen, the town’s mayor Angelika Obermayr told the Sueddeutsche Zeitung.

“The idea that people enter the station or deliver newspapers there and then become victims of a maniac is terrible. Hopefully they will recover completely,” Obermayr said. “I am most grateful to the police, doctors, paramedics and our firefighters who reacted quickly on the scene.”

We will bring you more news on this latest terror attack as the investigation continues… It seems terror attacks are on the rise and this is one of many so far which is not looking good for the stay in E.U campaign in the U.K and is one of the many factors swaying voters back and forth across the 50% mark in the polls.
