A policeman has been stabbed in front of Westminster’s Parliamentary building today.
In what is being treated as a terrorist attack, the officer’s attacker was shot by officers at the Houses of Parliament in the bloody incident. He has been rushed to the hospital where it is hoped he will make a recovery. The eye of media.com has heard that the officer’s next of kin has been informed of his evil and unforeseen attack. People were seen running from the direction of Westminster Bridge into Parliament Square, a panic spread fast.
The incident has sparked a major security alert at Westminster, as Scotland Yard seek to establish the source of this senseless attack. Several passers-by were also mowed down by a vehicle set on a destructive path of causing as much harm as possible. Blood was splattered across many spots near Parliament, and pictures of the incident have since been emerging. Several people on the ground were bleeding on the bridge that leads towards the Houses of Parliament.
The incident occurred around 2.45 pm, with two loud gunshots shaking everyone in the vicinity at the time. Prime minister, Theresa May has rushed away in a car after the sitting in Parlament was halted. Staff in Parliament were asked to remain in their offices, as police cordoned off the area in front of and around Parliament. And as the news of the attack spread, the of media.com heard that many at work in neighbouring areas cut their work short to head home out of the sheer apprehension that a more serious terrorist attack may be yet to come. Terrorists are known to often coordinate several attacks in an area when they strike, yet many opted to leave immediately.
Some continued work, as usual, holding out on any fears of anything more sinister yet to come. Westminster AND Victoria tube station are expected to be under heavily armed police protection in the wake of an attack that may just have revived the thoughts of terrorism in the minds of many commuters.
Several people were injured in the attack, but if this was supposed to be a terrorist attack, it wasn’t a very successful one. Scotland Yard is already investigating the serious incidence, and it will not be long before the identities of the perpetrators are known and made public. The perpetrators may just be a couple of mentally retarded maniacs with a political agenda that make them act like terrorists.
On a day of Political drama in Parliament, after the big disputes over grammar schools, the day had to end with this senseless commotion from a crazed man with a knife. This will be the talk of the day.
